Our Objectives

Heartening to note Bansuri conducted its Golden Jubilee show in February 2026. Bansuri has so far supported about 30 non-profit organisations including Cankids, Roti Bank, Iskcon, Sukoon Nilaya, Shanmukhanand Hospital, Annamitra Foundation, Madhusudan Sai Hospital, Neev Jeevan (working in the area of livelihood for tribal women), Teach (a graduation academy for deaf and mute children) and other such institutions who are doing remarkable work in their domain.

All programs are non-ticketed and it has been very successful in creating awareness and raising funds for NGOs, apart from providing an evening filled with entertainment for deserving music lovers and seniors. In addition to the performers from the group, several celebrity singers including Rajessh Iyer, Dr Rahul Joshi, Sangeeta Melekar, Raina Lahiri, Dhanashree Deshpande and Prajakta, Kalyani Deshpande regularly perform in our shows. Bansuri is now well known in music orchestra circles for the work they do. Senior citizens’ groups like Jeshta Nagrik and Laughter Club Chembur, Dignity Foundation regularly participate in our events.

On a cumulative basis about 10,000 patrons have attended the music shows.

The objective in the future would be continuing to support deserving NGOs not only in Mumbai but other cities, through the medium of music.

Comprising individuals united by an unbridled passion for music, we stand as a dynamic musical ensemble, harnessing our collective creativity to drive innovation and inspire audiences.

Our Objectives

Over two years, we've curated 28 programs, enriching the lives of marginalized groups. Through music and fundraising, we're fostering empowerment and positive change.

Over the past two years, we've organized 28 programs, with a focus on bringing joy to various marginalized groups, including senior citizens, special children, residents of old age homes, visually impaired students, and orphaned youth. Notably, out of these programs, approximately 20 were tailored specifically for these demographics.

In the last year alone, we've hosted three significant fundraising events in support of commendable NGOs such as Teach (which aids in the education of deaf and mute students), Aftertaste, Sparsha, and Neev Jeevan (all dedicated to empowering, upskilling, and providing livelihood opportunities for women), as well as Roti Bank, which has tirelessly supplied over 15 million meals to children and caregivers in need.
